MKCL’s Educational eGovernance Program
This program offers various eServices
through its educational portals such as Digital
University® designed, developed and deployed by
MKCL and has facilitated more than one million
learners across all universities in Maharashtra
in last 5 years. The number of University and
student users is steadily increasing and it is
likely to exceed 2 million this year i.e.
2007-08.
This portal offers to the college and University
students the various Information Services,
Administrative/ Facilitation Services, eLearning
Services, Participative/Collaborative Services
and Services for finding career opportunities,
scholarship/fellowship opportunities and career
advancement openings through national and
international competitive examinations,
certification examinations, etc.
The fundamental aims of this program are to give
millions of students an access to their
University and career universe through single
entry portal and offer direct facilitation to
students, teachers and managers of the
Universities. This program offers eFacilitation
to millions of University students throughout
their academic life cycle right from search of
courses and admission to finally the award of
degree and beyond that in the job placements.
MKCL’s eGovernance Program
MKCL has designed and developed secure
eTendering Framework under this program. The
state-of-the-art eTendering solutions derived
from customization of this framework have been
very successfully deployed and used by large
Public Sector Undertakings in Energy Sector for
their procurements of goods and services as well
as award of works and contracts. The total
procurements in this year through this highly
secure system have exceeded US$ 2 Billion so
far. This framework has received national
acclaim and demand and will be deployed in large
number of undertakings beyond Energy Sector in
this year.
Under this program MKCL has also developed a
generalized eRecruitment Framework which has
been used for recruitment of several thousand
candidates in various Government Departments,
Ministries, Corporations, Semi-Government
Bodies, etc. |
