Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL), is a Public Limited Company incorporated under the then Companies Act, 1956 on August 20, 2001. MKCL was promoted by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra (GoM). On January 05, 2018, the governmental coordination of the Company's affairs was handed over from the Department of Higher and Technical Education to the General Administration Department (GAD), and thereunder, to the Directorate of Information Technology.
