Job Description

The Management Trainee role at MKCL is designed for high-potential MBA graduates who aspire to build impactful careers at the intersection of management, AI, and digital transformation. Trainees will work as full-time employees and contribute to mission-mode, real-world projects that support MKCL’s strategic initiatives and its commitment to the global knowledge society.

This role offers a unique opportunity to learn by doing, combining structured training, mentoring, and hands-on exposure to live projects. Management Trainees will apply AI and digital technologies responsibly to improve business processes, enhance decision-making, and support innovation across business functions, operations, and digital product development.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate high learnability, analytical thinking, collaboration, and ethical judgment, along with a strong motivation to solve real-life problems and create positive social impact through technology.


Key Responsibilities

Management Trainees will be expected to:

  • Engage with and support network partners, business partners, and customers to ensure effective implementation of company offerings.
  • Coordinate and assist in the execution of day-to-day business operations to support organizational goals.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting using advanced MS Excel functionalities.
  • Develop impactful business presentations and infographics using MS PowerPoint.
  • Prepare business proposals for potential customers
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking projects using tools such as MS Project.
  • Design and document process flows and workflows using data analytics tools to support operational improvement and optimization.
  • Create basic dashboards and visual reports using Business Intelligence tools such as Google Data Studio or similar platforms.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders using MS Outlook, adhering to appropriate business communication standards.
  • Use AI-based tools to support business research, analysis, and reporting while following ethical and organizational guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating problem-solving ability, adaptability, and a commitment to quality and continuous learning.

Positions & Place of Posting

MKCL intends to recruit approximately 50 Management Trainees.

The Place of Posting

Candidates, while applying, will have to give preference for posting at any one of the following office locations in the application. Employees of MKCL work only in physical mode.

MKCL has operations all over India. Therefore, employees can be transferred anywhere in India as per organizational requirement.


Eligibility

Essential Conditions

MKCL is inviting applications for Management Trainee Positions from graduates who have background/specialization in BE/B.Tech. in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / IT / Electronics / E&TC / Artificial Intelligence & Data Science / Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning / Data Science and equivalent branches from a recognized university.

Further the applicant must be qualified as MBA or equivalent postgraduate program in management passed in the year 2024 or 2025.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in computing concepts, and office automation tools, along with the ability to apply technology effectively in a professional and organizational context.

Sufficiency Conditions

  • Certifications or coursework in AI, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation or Emerging Technologies.
  • Hands on experience with prompt engineering, AI - Assisted research, or AI based prototyping.
  • Exposure to latest AI Tools.

Application Process

  • Candidates should apply online through MKCL’s career page starting from Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
  • Last date to apply online is Friday, February 20, 2026, up to 11:59 pm.
  • The candidate shall enter correct and verified email address and mobile number since all communications for the recruitment process will be done electronically via email and/or mobile.
  • Candidates will be selected through a structured multi-stage evaluation process.
  • Candidates are allowed to register on Online Portal only once and thereby create a single login. Multiple registrations will lead to disqualification.

Terms & Conditions for Online Application

  • If any candidate is found indulging in any form of malpractice during the recruitment process, their candidature will be cancelled immediately.
  • MKCL reserves the right to cancel the candidature of any applicant found to be in violation of MKCL’s rules, norms, or eligibility conditions at any stage of the recruitment process.

Online Application Fees

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹575/- (inclusive of GST) at the time of submitting the application.


Selection Process

The selection process shall be a two-stage process consisting of

  • Stage I - Online Test
  • Stage II - Hands- On Test and Final Interview

Stage I: Online Test

  • Candidates need to take an Online Test from their home through MKCL’s Online Exam Framework.
  • Candidates appearing for the Online Test are required to have a reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 2 Mbps, along with a desktop or laptop computer that has a functional webcam and microphone.
  • Candidates must remain alone in a quiet environment for the entire duration of the Online Test and must not communicate with anyone during the exam.
  • The use of any reference materials or resources, including mobile phones, tablets, earphones/headphones, additional computer screens, or unauthorized software, is strictly prohibited during the Online Test.
  • The Mock Test may be attempted from Tuesday, February 17, 2026, to Saturday, February 21, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 05:00 p.m.
  • The Online Test will be conducted on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Results of the Online Test will be declared on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
  • Maximum marks for the Online Test: 100
  • Total number of questions: 100
  • There shall be no negative marking.
  • Each question will have multiple options, with one correct option.
  • Each question will carry 1 Mark.
  • Total Test Duration: 90 minutes
  • MKCL expects candidates to possess the skills listed below, and the question paper will be designed based on the corresponding sections.

Stage I - Online Test - Syllabus

The Stage I - Online Test will assess candidates’ abilities across multiple domains, including analytical thinking, office productivity, and AI tool proficiency. Below is the detailed syllabus for the Online Test:

Part I: Tools

  • Candidates must have IT Skills: Advance Level of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows.
  • Candidates should have excellent command over MS Excel.
  • Candidates should be able to present the concept through impressive PowerPoint presentation.
  • Candidates should have complete command over MS Outlook and should have email etiquette.
  • Candidates should have ability to do research using internet for various tasks.
  • Candidates should be able to create Video Presentation with Voice over.
  • Candidates should be able to use MS Project for project planning.
  • Candidates should know Business Intelligence Tools such as Google Data Studio
  • Candidates should have ability to learn new software’s which can be used internally (Adaptability).

Part II: Business

  • Candidates should be able to draft a good proposal.
  • Candidates should be able to draft a letter.
  • Candidates should have sound knowledge of Sales Forecasting, Market Research and Analysis.
  • Candidates should know Customer Life Cycle Management.
  • Candidates should know Software Life Cycle Management.
  • Candidates should have knowledge about Digital Product Development Life Cycle and Design Thinking.

Part III: Digital Marketing

  • Candidates should know basic concepts of Digital Marketing, SEO, etc.
  • Candidates should have knowledge about all social media tools and marketing through them.

Part IV: Quality and IPR

  • Candidates should have knowledge about ISO 9001, ISO 27000, CMMI Level 3, etc.
  • Candidates should know the concept of Intellectual Property Rights.

Part V: People Skills

  • Candidates should have ability to solve problems with relevant thought process.
  • Critical Skill - Observation - It is necessary for a candidate to be able to observe rather than just come to conclusions.
  • Candidates should have business meeting etiquette.
  • Candidates should be able to manage time.
  • Candidates should be able to understand the requirements given by customers (Listening Skills).
  • Candidates should have ability to speak effectively in public (at conferences/ at a seminar/ at a gathering of learners, etc.).
  • Candidates should be a Team Player and should have Leadership Abilities.
  • Candidates should be Innovative and should have Creative Thinking skills, Negotiation Skills.
  • Candidates should have Logical Reasoning, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Candidates should be able to mentor the assistants/colleagues.

Part VI: General

  • Demonstrate sensitivity and commitment towards inclusive development, with a focus on underserved and marginalized communities.
  • Show a strong sense of social responsibility and ethical conduct.
  • Possess awareness of sustainability and green initiatives aimed at environmental conservation.

Stage II: Hands-On Test and Final Interview

Hands-on Test and Final Interview may be conducted tentatively between March 09 to March 11, 2026.

Hands-on test and Final Interview will be conducted at MKCL’s Pune Office.

Process Details

  • Required Documents for Stage II: The candidate invited for Hands-On Test and Final Interview should bring along with him/her the original copies of all mark sheets, certificates and other credentials as well as original copy of the proof of identity.
  • If the documents do not match the information provided online or meet the eligibility criteria, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Stage II - Hands-on Test and Interview.
  • Please note that No expenses (including for travel, lodging and boarding) shall be reimbursed by the company and the candidate shall have to bear the same.

Stage II - Hands-On Test - Syllabus

The Stage II -, Hands-On Test is designed to assess candidate’s practical skills in performing tasks relevant to the Management Trainee role. Candidate will be presented with a real-world business scenario that simulates tasks that may be encountered as Management Trainee. The Hands-On Test will require the effective use of office productivity tools (MS Office and Google Workspace) as well as AI tools to complete the assigned tasks. The Hands-On Test will be of 45 minutes duration, during which candidates must demonstrate their ability to efficiently integrate and apply these tools to address real world business challenges.

Candidate will be expected but may not be limited to:

  • Create Reports and Documents: Use Word or Google Docs to draft a formal report or proposal based on your analysis. You may also be asked to create a presentation using PowerPoint or Google Slides to visually communicate your findings.
  • Analyze Data: Use Excel or Google Sheets to analyse data, generate insights, and prepare a summary of key findings.
  • Create Presentation: Use MS-Power Point to create insightful presentation with infographics.
  • Generate Content with AI: Use AI tools along with prompt engineering to get desired output.
  • Automate Tasks: Integrate AI-driven automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks within the scenario. This could involve creating workflows for task management, sending automated emails, or scheduling tasks using AI tools.
  • Make Decisions: Apply AI-driven decision support tools to assist in making strategic recommendations based on the data and analysis.
