AMRUT-KALASH Diploma

Skill Development is important for the holistic development and empowerment of youth. To address this, AMRUT, in collaboration with MKCL, has introduced the AMRUT – Knowledge Advancement and Learning Abilities Through Skill Harmonization (AMRUT-KALASH) program. This initiative is designed to bridge skill gaps and elevate employability, equipping young individuals to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in today’s digital, technology-driven global economy. By fostering productivity, creativity, and career growth, AMRUT-KALASH empowers youth to thrive in both local and international markets, aligning them with the evolving cultural and economic landscape of the 21st century.

AMRUT has decided to launch and implement AMRUT-KALASH in a mission-mode manner and on a state-wide scale and successful completion of AMRUT-KALASH shall lead to the award of AMRUT – Knowledge Advancement and Learning Abilities Through Skill Harmonization Program or in short AMRUT-KALASH Diploma.

AMRUT-KALASH aims at imparting training in 21st Century job-readiness skills, competencies and character qualities to the youth belonging to AMRUT’s Target Group (belongs to Economically Weaker Section from Open Category) for enhancement of employability and self-employability in the State. It will focus on developing the youth for emerging opportunities in local and global digital economy and gig economy through mastery of various job-specific digital skills, English language skills, communication skills and soft skills.

AMRUT-KALASH will primarily focus on helping the youth attain higher levels of productivity, efficiency, creativity and quality by mastering variety of smart user-level digital skills and develop an entrepreneurial mind-set and character qualities required for 21st Century physical and virtual workplaces in diverse domains. AMRUT-KALASH will have 4 modules each of 120 hours. Candidates successfully completing all the 4 modules will receive AMRUT-KALASH Diploma. The details of the modules are as shown in Table below:

1 KALASH Diploma Module 1: ECS
(120 hrs)
Certificate in English Language Skills, Communication Skills and Soft Skills
2 KALASH Diploma Module 2: ITS
(120 hrs)
Certificate in Basic Information Technology Skills
(For Employability Enhancement)
3 KALASH Diploma Module 3: DS-BDS
(120 hrs)
Certificate in Domain Specific Basic Digital Skills
In this Module, Candidates is expected to select any one employment domain as Elective such as data management / financial accounting / ... etc. from modules on multiple optional domains provided by MKCL.
Candidate is expected to master the digital skills in the chosen domain.
4 KALASH Diploma Module 4: DS-ADS
(120 hrs)
Certificate in Domain Specific Advanced Digital Skills
In this Module, Candidate is expected to take simulated real-life hands-on work experience in the chosen employment domain in Module 3 so as to attain and enhance employability.

Each module is of 120 hours’ duration with 99 hours of training spread over 6 weeks, 6 days per week, 3 hours per day. Each day is divided into 3 sessions each of 60 minutes. Remaining 21 hours of supervised continuous comprehensive personalized online assessment of 3.5 hours per week. i.e. on a weekend the candidate has to be present at the ALC for 3 + 3.5 = 6.5 hours.

Entire Program Duration is, thus, 480 hours spread over Six Months.
